Obituary of Daniel Webster Hitechew
HITECHEW - Daniel Webster "Web," 64, Central City R.D. 1, died Jan. 30, 1976, at Windber Hospital. Born Oct. 6, 1911, in Shade Township, son of late George and Ellen (Logue) Hitechew. Preceded in death by daughter, Roxy L. Miller; two sisters; and brother. Survived by widow, Gladys (Naugle) Couster-Hitechew; former wife, Hazel L (McCreary)- Hitechew-Emick; these children: Sally, New Paris, and Merty, wife of Kenneth Couster Jr., Central City R.D. 1; and these stepchildren: Ronald married to former Betty Meck, Central City R.D. 1; Larry, married to former Linda Snyder, Honeybrook R.D. 3; and Roger, at home; also four grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. Brother of Virgil, Kingsport, Tenn.; Essie, Johnstown, Claude, Colonial Heights, Va.; Blanche, wife of Robert Long, and Faye, both of Central City R.D. I.; Ila, wife of Eugene Shaffer, Central City; and Lois, wife of Frank Pizer, Blairsville. Member of Central City Sportsmen's Association and, Fulton County Sportsmen's Association. Retired member of Local 6410, UMWA. Friends received after 2 p.m. Monday at Charles E. Brumbaugh Funeral Home, Central City, where service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Marlin A. Miller. Interment, McGregor Cemetery, Cairnbrook.
